We had a blast completing last week’s challenge! We were able to get outside and get moving while practicing social distancing.
This week, we are going to get active in our very own homes with yoga! Yoga has many benefits. It can increase your flexibility, help build strong muscles, and boost your energy level. But what is yoga? Yoga is a type of exercise that involves holding poses. All you need is a little bit a space to practice yoga!
Follow along and see if you can do these yoga poses!
1. Downward Dog
Create an upside down V shape with your body. Straighten your legs, keep your arms strong, and look between your legs.
Start by standing tall. Then, bend your knees and try to being your hips back. Straighten your arms above your head.
Start by standing tall. Place your foot either above or below your knee. Grow your tree by extending your arms above your head. Try swaying side to side!
Balance on your rear-end and lit your legs up. Try to stick your arms straight out in front of you. Then rock in the water like a boat!
5. Three Legged Dog
Start in downward dog. Then, lift one leg up towards to sky, as high as you can! Switch legs!
