Week 26: TRACK Trails

TRACK Trails are kid-friendly hikes. Each trail includes brochures for an interactive experience. You can even earn prizes by logging your hike on the Kids in Parks website!

There are four different Track Trail site in Durham, North Carolina! Check them out below:

1. Rock Quarry Park, 0.6 mile loop trail

This trail should be familiar to BCF participants! It wraps around Edison Johnson Recreation Center, the site of in-person BCF.

2. Whirppoorwil Park, ½ mile out-and-back trail

This trail is great for bird watching! Stop and listen to the wildlife throughout your hike.

3. Sandy Creek Park, 1 mile loop trail

Sandy Creek is home to the longest Track Trail in the Durham area. This one mile trail will take you through wetland habitats. The latest BCF YouTube video was filled at this park! Be sure to check out the water bottle circuit here!
