Week 6: Beach Ball Fun

It’s Friday Funday! We had a blast practicing our soccer skills last week! Emily led us in agility ladders on Wednesday’s Facebook Live Activity Follow Along. If you missed it, you can check out that post here. This week, we are going to be focusing on some cool moves you can do with just a beach ball-- or a balloon, pillow, or any other type of ball for that matter!

There are many ways to get moving! Check out these 20 ideas of ways to play! Remember to be safe and only play with other people living in your house.

Play catch outside!
  1. Play catch

  2. Sit on the floor with legs spread across from someone and push/roll the ball together

  3. Secure the ball between your legs and try to walk or move with it

  4. Use as a bowling ball to knock over empty soda bottles pins

  5. Play “hot potato”

  6. Using a towel, pair children up and have them toss the ball into the air and catch it on the towel

  7. Hold the ball in your arms and move them from side to side

  8. Hit the ball to a partner using your head

  9. Balance on body parts

  10. Throw or kick and chase

  11. Kick the ball against a wall

  12. Keep the ball on the ground and hit the ball on the side with your hand

  13. Create targets with colors and try to hit them with the ball

  14. Don’t let the ball hit the floor by hitting with your hands (keep it up)

  15. Try to juggle the ball

  16. Try to kick the ball between two cones (or whatever you have on hand like water bottles, cans, or pillows)

  17. Play relay games with the ball

  18. See how many times you can throw the ball up and catch it

  19. Try to spin the ball on your finger

  20. Play crab soccer
